Preparatory Division

The Preparatory Division presents a balanced curriculum of performance training, theoretical study, ear training, and ensemble experience. This thorough approach to musical development gives students a firm grounding in the materials and techniques they will need as mature artists, as well as a solid introduction to the cultural foundations of Western classical music.

NCC orchestra is a Beethoven-sized orchestra (strings and winds) which performs a wide range of repertoire from the Baroque to Contemporary periods. AP Music Theory


This course is a preparation for AP Music Theory Test, to earn college credit. The ultimate goal of an AP Music Theory course is to develop a student's ability to recognize, understand, and describe the basic materials and processes of music that are heard or presented in a score.(8 wks intensive course)

Developments of technical knowledge, tone production and performance skills for voice. Emphasis will be given to the factor of voice physiology, function, sound production and to the diagnosis and correction of vocal faults.
